The Lake Geneva Pow-wow is a traditional pow-wow; its focus is to bring together people of all nations to learn, have fun, and rekindle old friendships and form new ones. It is similar to a family reunion. The main feature of a "Pow-Wow" celebration is the drums, music, and dancing, as well as the colorful regalia of the dancers and all the crafts and foods available for sale. Many different Native cultures are represented and the heritage of the dancers and singers is reflected in their clothing, their dance steps, and their songs. You are invited to join in the festivites. Open to the public. Event is Saturday and Sunday, June 19-20, just blocks from our hotel. http://www.lakegeneva-powwow.org/ |
